The Problem
It can be tough to communicate your business requirements when working with Development teams. Written requirements only go so far and do not necessarily show the flow you are after. This causes unneeded back and forth leading to an additional development time that may not be needed.
The Solution
Learning how to create prototypes in Axure to help showcase your business requirements hands-on. To learn Axure I created a mobile app prototype for my city league basketball team.

GAMEDAY Page
View Information of Upcoming Game
A panel at the top shows the date/time, opponent, and location of the upcoming game. This would be pulled from the Portland Basketball RSS feed and auto-populated.
Clicking on the location will show a google maps of the location for quick mapping.
RSVP and View Team Roster for Upcoming Games
Quickly RSVP or mark yourself “Out” for upcoming games by clicking on the Question Mark icon. Set yourself as active or out, the prototype will prompt you for the reason you are out and ask if you’d like to update your longterm status.
This feature enables the team captain to ensure that there are a minimum of 5 players for each upcoming game.
BALANCE Page
View Your Owed Balance and Payment History
You can quickly view detailed payment information and payment history from the payment panel. Click the Information Icon in the top right to see a cumulative breakdown of your charges and payments.
Make Payments
Lets players track amount due and make payments directly from the application using Venmo, PayPal, or Apple Pay. Eliminates the need to track league dues.

View Roster and Player Information
View the information on the current roster. View the current injury status of the player as well as an ETA for when they will return. Send messages and view other contact information from the same page. If user is logged in can edit this information.
RESULTS PAGE
View Latest Results and Stats
View latest game results along with a summary for each game. Additionally the App would keep track of overall stats for the team including total wins, streaks, and points for and against.
